So, i actually emailed Mr Walsh about this exact issue, and i feel like i should share my question and his exact reply for clarity. I appreciate being able to contact the company for clarification in these areas where it seems speculation runs riot on these forums.

Question: Has BASF shown any interest or has there been any communication in regards to the MoU which was acquired from the Desert Lion takeover? Are they aware of our process and potentially interested as an offtake partner? Since the MoU was signed only a few weeks before the takeover, was Desert Lion and BASF aware of LPD at that time?

Answer: As you point out the MOU was entered into just prior to the takeover and therefore it is reasonable to assume that BASF was and is aware of LPD’s technologies and strategy. As LPD has also made reference to this MOU it is reasonable to expect that there is a constructive dialogue between the two companies.

Now this is certainly not new news, and nothing that has not already been announced to the market. But it does give us an indication that it is reasonable to assume there is potentially discussion between the two companies.
