John Silvester (Walkley winning journo, author of Underbelly and other countless tales of crime and corruption in Victoria) recently published a nice piece on dear old Bob.

John's late dad, Freddy Silvester (Asst. Comm of Police), and my father both served long careers together with the Victorian police. We both grew up on the back streets of Preston and attended the same schools and drunken bbq's of our inglorious forbears..... (yes Dave, waiting for your personal insult)

John's recently published article on Bob Hawke is available below if Dave R or anyone else is inclined to read it. It paints the story of a rather disgusting person who has had the benefit of union/media protection for many years. The Victorian cops have alot of dirt on good old Bob, yet he could wield power via the unions.

It seems now however that the dam walls are breaking and even his own daughter has a disgusting tale or two to tell. Let's welcome #metoo to the story of Bob Hawke.
