I don't disagree, however, from what I've been able to dig up shareholders usually take the money and run with very few taking up the scrip.
For example, in the Capilano scheme, 83 shareholders elected to receive scrip (representing less than 1.5% of the Capilano shares on issue).

I'm interested to learn of others experience with these schemes......? I made the idiotic, easy in hindsight, decision to double my holding in the weeks leading up to the suspension so I too am staring down the barrel of a decent hit. The stub equity therefore looks somewhat attractive but I'm concerned about how long I'd have to hold for and any other inherent risks.....
