But I'm willing to bet thousands...and have: that the AUSTRAC case will result in a light slap on the wrists; $5mil
And I'd be surprised if the legislation being written based on Hayne's recommendations isn't riddled with loopholes and "get-out-of-jail-free" cards.
Between Aus Super, the Government, WBC, and the other banks: I'll be absolutely shocked if the law holds any of them to account; beyond the expected slap on the wrists.
I'll be happy to lose my bet if it does.
