Some people just shut down when in pain fattchoi .... I haven’t been reading AICp’s posts until today but (I think) it is a valid point that alternative pain assessment tools will be developed .

Whether the alternatives are competitive is another point altogether.
Maybe the day will come when something the blood pressure cuff developed by Biobeat (Painchek’s fellow Philips Healthworks alumnus) is common as an apple watch and is able to automatically take blood tests for diabetes, pain levels and whatever else and patch dose as well but it is certainly not here yet.

If AICp and others choose not to invest in Painchek because they feel it will be outmoded in a theoretical future that is up to them.

Meanwhile Painchek is already up and running and already helping thousands of people - carers and dementia sufferers -every day and the number of licences is growing daily.
As others have said it is endorsed by the results of academic studies, Dementia Australia and other bodies and even the Federal Government.

There have even been ‘miracle’ stories like the one about the woman in New Zealand who was able to speak again after many years.
Maybe it will be outmoded one day
    But not yet.
