Not me Jerrome.....I have no complaints about the performance of the Australian athletes. Personally, I think that the amount of money that goes towards sporting excellence is hardly justifiable. There are thousands of disabled people, carers etc who would dearly appreciate a bit more support etc.
The Australian athletes did themselves proud I guess, but for me, I'd be happier to win less medals if it meant that we were more decent in the manner that we cared for the aged, disabled, infirmed, carers, mentally ill etc. That to me would be the best "Gold" we could ever win.
Really, who gives a toss if someone wins a few more sporting medals than someone else. As we can easily see from examples everywhere (Poms and us included)....the number of medals is directly related to the number of dollars spent. So what's the big deal about. The biggest spenders get the most medals. Big deal.
