The tone of the announcement strongly suggests that PB was pushed. It could be that the board was not happy with his recent performances for all the reasons mentioned on this site.
I am sure if he was in a position which was no longer tenable for whatever reason, he would have had the grace to leave in an orderly manner with notification and with minimal shockwaves, although whenever a Managing Director does quit it always rings alarm bells.
An amazing buying opportunity or catching a falling knive? Who knows. Would love to top up but it would be extemely risky with the legal battle still to be resolved.
