Medically, I have had highish blood pressure (it's stable at 130/80, unmedicated currently) for years, but my major issue has been OA. I get it from my Dad - I am his double. He is 89 and has two artificial knees and has had several vertebrae fused. He is not very stable, uses a walking frame and needless to say doesn't get out much and is in constant pain.

My OA first manifested in my left ankle -= I sprained it rather badly on a Welsh mountain over 40 years ago, and it was never the same again. I injured it again at Rugby training in the early nineties, and then in the late nineties a large Maori prop forward decided to dance on it when I was pinned at the bottom of a ruck.

By 2005 it was very swollen and in constant pain. I had an arthroscopy in 2006, and then a tibiotalar fusion in 2013. The ankle these days is stable, and pain free, although we have had several other adventures with it in the intervening years. My right knee started playing up in March 2012 and was causing severe pain and a marked limp by 2015. Basically bone on bone in the medial compartment, BME lesions, meniscal tear, Baker's Cyst, the whole box and dice.

Since the iPPS, which was administered at the same time as I was losing 15kg (don't ignore diet and exercise for those shitty knees friends!), I no longer limp, ansd I have, as I said, no pain at all in my knee or anywhere else. I still have this infernal foot drop though, which may be knee related - we have ruled out the spine as a cause.

But no, no allergies.

Thanks mate you sound like my mate he played rugby until he was 45 and now suffers for it,he is on the next round starting in January but i was rejected because of my allergy to Sulphur related drugs hence why i asked,thanks so much mate.
