I don't have any dog in that fight, obviously- I'm an Australia, never been to the USA, will probably never go there either.
But their version of "democracy' is simply insane. Apart from the Electoral College-
They have their presidential election on a Tuesday.
Massive amounts of minorities are barred from voting.
Many Native Americans legally cannot vote.
Voting districts are gerrymandered to hell and back again.
Many poor areas have their voting booths moved way out of town, where there is no public transport.
Early election is banned on university campuses.
etc.etc.- it's just an absolutely ridiculous perversion of the intent and spirit of "democracy"; you'd think the USA, which is the most powerful nation in the history of the planet, could get a simple thing like voting down pat.
