    Agree completely that our market is different from the rest of the world.

    When you say "in all that time we brought labours very high interest rates down to 6%" I think what you're meaning to say is - "the economy lags behind policy by some years, so in that time we saw the effects of the hard but necessary changes made by labour take effect in lowering interest rates, only to see them climb again under a liberal government who failed to make any systemic changes to the economy (other than GST)". Almost sure that's what you meant, because the Libs were incredibly inflationary, despite their wonderful ability to take credit for the past government's changes to the economy and global shifts that suited them :P Shame the current Labour government doesn't seem to have the cojones yet to carry on truly visionary economic management - like further raising super etc.

    Oh, and my Scottish mate would have your intestines for calling the great game of football by the S word ;)
