    To add, Trump says he has the power to pardon himself.

    This question was considered when Nixon faced impeachment.

    The ultimate answer will likely be NO.

    There is a fundamental legal rule that because no one may be a judge in his own case, the President cannot pardon himself.

    The US Constitution did not envisage ungentlemanly (dishonourable) behaviour to the extremes that are now displayed by Trump. The Constitution does not therefore answer the question. I guess that 18th and 19th century gentleman were simply "supposed" to just take their punishment on-the-chin. The Constitution was none-the-less written by people who assumed that nobody could be their own judge.
