I'm not sure if the term used to describe the point at which a tear or hole is repaired is called a scar or something else - it is a weaker point than if you didn't ever have a hernia and the perception is that absorbable mesh has a higher chance of recurrence. If Polynovo can comprehensively counter this belief then it might be onto a winner but my question is won't it take some time to prove that it doesn't recur and has Polynovo provided any commentary on this topic? I'll email the company and see if I get a reply.
