usc75, so all of the superannuation funds have union members on their boards, and as representatives of their union members these board members would have contributed to the decisions on the WBC board vote. While is is disappointing to see WBC being found guilty of serious breaches, the so called union members who have been betrayed do have representation and some influence over the decisions.
Maybe the union based board members all need replacing, something which union members can vote on every couple of years.
Maybe the union based board members were doing what they thought were bests interests of their members
