I don't think NHL was ever pumped for the benefit of Diamond, not by NHL anyway. He may have pulled some old school shark moves to get out at old school high points as Pattens explained but management were not complicit. They have our best interest front and foremost.
Always have. I believe this otherwise I would not be invested here.

Diamond at one point recently owned 10 percent plus. For a brief period of time you can create your one atmosphere in that unusual position of power.
He needed cash. He got out. It hurt NHL in the short term. This is another reason Im sure NHL management had no involvement in his dump. If there had they probably could have helped him find off market takers for all those shares.

As for us in placement territory i.e. plus 6.2c, some lets say half the private sophists in it might walk for 10 or 20 percent profit, A small group may have already sold for a loss, the others are in it for the same reason as us, because they believe the long term story.

There is another placement group remembers, the instos as mentioned previously by management, they will be long.

This is how I see it. But Im not neive. When or if I see dodgy happening at NHL from management I will be the first to criticize.

To date they haven't put a foot wrong IMO.
