I agree with your sentiments regarding the renumeration. I like MS and think he could be earning more if he stayed at Woodside but to receive a 830,000 salary package for a 100 million market cap company is over the top. Our Profit should be about million dollars bigger. Could have paid a 1/2 cent divi franked with that instead of directors junket.
I too will express my dissatisfaction with the renumeration to Mike Scott. If more then a few complain, at least it tells him shareholders actually read the report. I don't mind the $1 options as much. At least that is performance based to some extent although as EL points out, its just 1 lucky drill overseas to get to $1. The salary bugs me cause the options should be in lieu of salary but he is double dipping. With that sort of salary, he should have purchased more the 200,000 shares at 49 cents. He should be buying more shares with his salary at the very least. He is telling everyone it is a bargain. If I was on that salary, I would have more then $98,000 to spare. I own more shares then him. I spose I should ask myself why this is?
