I fail to see how RQB can claim the patent is invalid unless some procedures or something weren’t followed correctly by the patent office,
RQB were aware of the US patents, and the Canadian application so aside from some unknown technical lapse of process I cannot see any grounds for their defense.
As for protecting their own intellectual property, if they wanted to defend their own intellectual property then they should patent it.
