I think there may be some confusion here.

If JV discussions in Singapore are in fact the reason for his visit, then it begs the question - which oil company has its HQ in Singapore.

As to the timing of a signup, no one here seems to be speculating on the when of it, save for what Nido have already said, ie: possibly early July. Which should not be confused with their stated aim of having a physical roll out by Q4 this year.

In my view, we will hear about the JV partner soon after the contracts have been signed, then later on in Q4, will get to hear about the arrival of hardware above the various targets

Further, it was also suggested the Singapore visit might be equipment related. After all, tiny Singapore has more hardware laying around than all of the Australian ports put together, so this where one goes to get things done in the maritime drilling business.

One would suspect the above points should be clear to all but the foggiest thinkers, however, after reading some of the chatter, it might not be the case.
