I wish Rick all the best. From a procedural point of view I think he has been treated poorly. It's shabby to deport someone 10 years after their crime and sentence.
However, in terms of making a donation I think the details of his offence are very relevant. I appreciate it's a personal decision to donate and I know you have all done what is right for you. For my part though, I'm not prepared to part with any money without knowing the circumstances of the offending.
Having said that, I respect that Rick didn't actually ask for any of this.
