Ann: Change in substantial holding, page-27

G'day Oz... Nope - not on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram or any other social media for that matter (well, not knowingly at least ). Given the amount of data being gleaned (for free!) from those things by the authorities (seen the recent doco on that?) well, I stay well away. In fact, I don't even take serious notice of main media outlets any more. I get the facts I need from the formal announcements and make my decisions from there....which explains the motivation for some of my cynical and tongue in cheek posts from time to time.....like yesterday's one.

IMVHO, based on my view of the fundamentals & announcements, CDY's SP doesn't deserve to be sold down to its current levels and certainly not by 20% in a week. In fact, over the wider bourse I think there are more arbitrage opportunities these days being created by normally unwilling investors in the market - caused of course by the low interest rate environment. Unfortunately, they are forced into a market which they wouldn't normally frequent and that leads to equally unfortunate share price valuations for the rest of us.

Lastly, I agree with Gliontos that Maria (& any MD/CEO) is accountable for growing the business but IMO, she is equally accountable for creating (& increasing) the value of the business for the shareholders - and, everything being equal, that is measured by the share price.
