An expert opinion would be great, my simple mind says the DMC continuation could mean: Worst case same as control group maybe slight improvement Best case results that mirror phase 2
I don’t believe there are many options for these patients, which is why the DMC would not stop it even if the results are negligible and why it is such a potential gold mine.
The better argument is the MACE events ended at the expected date, which might mean the results mirror the expectation or the control group outperformed expectations
I think heart might fail but the CBLP will be a winner.
Remember when everyone said the LVAD was a sure success?
