I have an email from a PHD/Crop Scientist which says that the chief risk to field drying is:

"I would say that your biggest risks are fungal infestation. If you have any mold contaminants most buyers will reject your material. Fungal contaminants and the mycotoxins they produce get concentrated in the CBD oil process. This can result in an unmarketable crop"

Please note: he does not say that frost is the biggest risk in field drying

I am still aghast that the total poundage is only 407K Lbs. That may well be what they have bagged but there has to be over twice that
either rotting in the fields or elsewhere.

I have reviewed the photos of the crop and I have found:

That the plants are on average 1.2 meters apart & hat the rows are approx 2 M meters apart. ( both max, IMO)
Even allowing for culling this should amount to at least 1500 plants/acre (actual 1666 per acre)

CLI's recent announcement said that the plants produced over 1 lb dry biomass/plant (this is shamefully low for a scientific grower)
But even if we take 1 lb/plant that should be 1500 lbs/acre or 750K lbs for the full 500 Acres.

CLI's reported 407 Lbs biomass @ CLI's reported 1 lb+ per plant dry biomass would pan out at 800 plants/acre;
half of what CLI's own photos indicate. If this had been so, then it would have been evident from photos.

With this reckoning there should be at least 343K lbs extra biomass more than the 407K lbs reported, IMO.

1.1 lbs per plant would have met CLI's lower guideline of 800K lbs

IMO CLI has not come clean & told the full story and tell us where the other half of the harvest is/went.

PS: I hope the ASX read these threads and ask CLI the same questions

IMO, CLI is treating shareholders as mugs with a bunch of "weasel words" & gobbledegook

And this lark of "dialling-in machinery" is a load of bollocks, IMO.
Why not say harvester fine tuning or adjustments etc. to meet harvesting requirements.
