As an agnostic, I can’t help but shake my head at the irony of such cult like behaviour of the Climate cultists prophesying about doomsday scenarios, hero worship false prophets and chastising/smearing/attacking “non-believers”. The cult like behaviour is so ironic that a post about Morrison’s belief system is such a tragic irony.

Never mind that most fires were deliberately started . That’s just an inconvenient fact, just like it is with those who worship god.

Never mind that if Morrison turned off all of our electricity , it would make ZERO difference to world temperatures. But I am sure the Clomate cultists would be in despair

Never mind that deaths related to the climate has dropped 95% in the past 100 plus years. Just an inconvenient fact. And never mind that the earth is producing record crops.

People are certainly laughing and it is at the hysteria, like your post.

Morrison is no more responsible for fires than I am for Cyclone Debbie.

Actually, maybe he can cop some blame for pandering to the outrage mob of the greens who protest every tree that is cut down or every clearing of scrub or every fire preventive measure.

Amazingly, we know that nuclear power would solve all these problems but for some reason the outrage mob don’t want a bar of it.

Maybe because as one prominent person wrote on twitter, “the problem with nuclear power is that it won’t destroy capitalism and it won’t prevent people from eating meat”

Maybe praying for rain is an exercise in futility, but it’s as useful and productive as thinking that Scott Morrison can change the weather in Australia.

Tell me mate, how does closing down another coal station stop a kid from lighting a fire?

Perhaps the laughing stock of the world are the people pointing the finger at Morrison without addressing the real elephant in the room that is China . That’s if we are to believe that all these fires, even the vast number started by arsonists, are caused by man made global change.

I might do what I haven’t done in over a decade and pray for people to stop lighting fires.

That 16 year old has a global audience of many millions. The world listens to her. They are not all idiots.
Meanwhile on HotCopper the right deniers are claiming high ground with an audience of not many anonymous posters. Ease up on the anger and focus on a solution to our dying planet perhaps. Just an opinion.
