Yield is the one to watch. If yield has bottomed and starts to creep up eventually gold will go the opposite direction. There is a consistent negative correlation yield to gold over 6 month 1 year and 2 year timeframes.

US economy is strong and I expect to see that reflected in baby steps of inflation increase, perhaps that is what yield is anticipating.
