Similarly, all modern religions share the same teachings, more or less, regarding ethical behaviour.
Ethical behaviour protects human beings primarily from self-harm (and also from harming others).
Thus again, all religions aim to protect people from suffering.
However, if religion does not do this, it misses the mark.
It merely feeds selfishness and egoism rather than diminishing selfishness and egoism.
