    Since when should a POTUS bypass US authorities and ask a foreign country to investigate a US citizen?

    Then add to that the person is political rival the POTUS may face in the 2020 US elections, which would make it an illegal request by the POTUS.

    What credible evidence did Trump have, and why didn't he take that evidence to US authorities to investigate, it's not like Trump hasn't got access to the FBI's contact details.

    Trump tried a shifty, and got caught.
