Hi John, Albemarle run on natural gas for stationary purposes including steam generation, and kiln operation at the Kemerton plant. The rest of the plant is electrically powered.
90% of the FEECO Klins are NG; oil on the outer. It's a bit like the sub-critical to supercritical to ultra supercritical movement in coal fired power plants; all running in the means of more power for less feed and less Carbon footprint.
Lochhead produce 3 types Oil , Gas (propane) and Electric ; the electric unit is a 700kw heat input unit. A lot of input ,but there is potentially a ramp up to 60MW
yes agree on cost of fuel into DRC area; AVZ were paying an absolute motsa fueling the rigs during the drilling campaign; they were actually flying drums in; so thankfully the road is being put in.
How long was it since you’ve worked in DRC; By any chance were you on Kolezi or Likasi . I assume most chemical supply would likely come out of that area
