    It takes time - years - to bring on new fields.

    Plus the majors have been trying to increase their reserves and have struggled for years.

    China and emerging economies are continuing to increase their oil demand in the meantime.
    China is still growing at 10%.

    Cheaper oil in the US will drive demand now.
