Although some commentators like to push the false idea that present weather conditions are unprecedented and are responsible for the unprecedented intensity of fires to support their religious furfur. The intensity of the fires is 100% due to the fuel load on the ground, a problem recognised thousands of years ago by the indigenous peoples of this land and controlled to avoid the sort of fires that are raging though out the country by the use of back burning. I sincerely hope that these fires signal the end of debate about back burning for ever. I find it ironic that far left environmentalists with their narrow perfect world thinking are actually as responsible as anyone for the intensity of the fires. Get out of your echo chambers that don't allow decentring views of any kind and stifle the introduction of real life solutions to the undeniable problem of pollution and human sustainability and start to think outside of the bubble to come up with solutions that CAN be implemented with out the total and immediate destruction of peoples lives and economies. Remember that a small step in the right direction is better than no step at all. It saddens me to think how many people think that narratives similar to the one that started this thread are adding some thing useful to the debate.
