Gold is AUD963, but only US805.
So why is our gold index down over 4.3% today following a decline of 6% yesterday? The AUD gold price continues to be OK.
It's clearly time to eat humble cake for those posters who persisted in telling us that what was most important for the price of Australian gold shares was the Australian dollar price of gold.
I have persistently said that was wrong, and also had no historical basis in fact.
That what was of most importance was the USD gold price.
It's sure time imo to eat humble cake for a number of posters who consistently posted that the AUD gold price was more important than the USD for the price of Australian gold shares.
They were plain wrong.
