you do know they (PMF protesters) had left the Embassy after their protest with no injury or deaths, right?
and at the time, the Iraqi army was standing nearby during the protest, so if there was any further violence, they could have stepped in, right?
and you do know it was the Iraqi Prime Minister who invited him (Soleimani) to visit Baghdad for peace talks, so it did not escalate, and the Iraqis had informed the American he was coming to Baghdad, right?
so this was not some kind of clandestine meeting to plot some kind of attack against anyone.
and the fact that the US used the information to set up a duplicitous assassination, destroys all US reputation in the region: its like killing a person carrying a white flag.
