Back from dinner, wondering how I even ended up here with so many wound up nutters and this post cuts to the chase pretty well. Looking through my glasses it's time to think about taking some profits. How far will the exploration success and early speculative investment drive this stock, that's the question most here are wanting to know.
Yes, it's fair to say through experience and nature I look towards the end game when investing which stops me playing lots of exploration stocks. Another reason I didn't look closer into MRQ earlier is because my min sands dance card has been full for a while. Risk management means I simply have not been looking for more min sand exposure for some time. Not investing doesn't make me right or wrong any more than my observations are right or wrong. It's just how I roll and how I see things.
So I look into MRQ and I see that in reality there is 2.2B shares even though most on HC and the market might not recognise it. I thought $50M EV was high all things considered, but hey if the rest of the market thinks MRQ only has a $20M MC then right now my thoughts are redundant. The market will move higher from $20M no problem, right or wrong. Same thing with my experience of min sand stocks and development difficulties. Although i cannot buy a story at $50M when I think it will ultimately struggle for years through Feas Studies and end up struggling for development doesn't stop many others in the market buying the story. Without doubt my views on the ultimate chance of success effect my decisions to invest, especially after they have already risen considerably. It doesn;t have to be yours.
The reality is most posters are here for the exploration and speculation MC lift that comes with drilling etc. They do not understand or care particularly what the long run chances of developing a mine is, just so long as the market likes the story and prices up the shares with more drilling results. That's why I posted the junior explorer price life cycle chart, know where you are and trade/invest according to your true investment rationale. Don't pretend to be long term if a market correction and hot money walking the price back for a long period causes grief. Like Mike Tyson says, ""Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the mouth." Understand the risks, consider alternative views and invest accordingly.
I see all strandlines north of the Limpopo river are likely mineralised and will deliver high tonnes of HM similar to Corridor 1... no risk they won;t be mineralised, especially after 20 year old drilling proved it. Drill results will find some higher grade placers here or lower grades there but there seems little doubt a large resource will be defined. How many in the market are waiting for the drilling before buying is one concern? Perhaps many will be surprised when drilling delivers more of the same good grades and widths, I won't be and neither will any here from what I read. Think about everybody who sees the story unfold being super confident that a large HM resource will be proven by drilling yet expecting millions of buyers to come in after the fact is proven. At some point soon that logic becomes flawed, more good drilling results will be expected by the whole market.
I came here suggesting taking some profits and not falling in love might be appropriate after the run up from 0.5c. Many don;t agree and that's fine, different opinions make buyers and sellers, makes a market. I came here wishing the best to all holders despite my reservations and that's how I want to leave. Plenty on STA and BSE will attest I wish all holders of all stocks well, and they are both much closer competitors for SFX which I do hold. If SFX has not found a partner for funding by the time MRQ has started a PFS even then I'm in real trouble. Taking profits and not falling in love is rarely a bad thing, early profits don't prove anything long term. Too many times my early success and confirmation bias turned a sensible trade into greed. Greed usually makes you very rich or very poor lol.
However you play it, good luck.
