The best thing that could happen in OZ for KPT is a decent carbon credit scheme being set up, if done properly the KPT asset would be fantastic and all the super funds would be falling over themselves to get involved, At some point Australia is going to have to realise that they need to do something to offset all this coal that is being dug up and burned, a 25 aud a ton carbon price for burning coal and 10 and for exporting it will not kill the industry but will crate a massive incentive to establish forests , One would hope that these fires can create a positive mindset to do something, NZ is way ahead in this respect ...
