I think the targeted assassination of Soleimani was planned well in advance. The public story is he was a target of opportunity but I think US intelligence would have known about the meeting in Iraq well ahead of it happening. The subsequent events have demonstrated that Iran is in no position to retaliate... and I think that fact was a part of the calculations. I suspect when the various options were put to Trump the drone strike would have come with the highest recommendation. All Trump had to do would be sign off on it.

Trump the man... is clearly a narcissist. If he was not the President [and so, in such a position of power] he would be called out for being the serial internet troll and cyber bully that he is.

Have you any evidence that Trump was a serial internet troll and cyber bully before being elected? Why would he be one now when he wasn't then?
