Trust me mate, I work in mineral processing and I’d take a processing manager with a trade background rather than a person with a degree, just because you have a degree doesn’t mean your smart, I know a lot of people that have business degrees and don’t know how to make money or run a business and people with no qualifications that are worth absolute crap loads of money because they know how to run a business and make money. Also having a COO with no mining experience can be a good thing and a bad thing, they can look at things differently to a person who has been in mining for years and have no preconceptions about how to mine and how efficiently to do it, they might bring ideas that people in mining may not think about, I’m sure that Ken and the board wouldn’t have hired him if they didn’t think he was a good fit for the job.
