Doesn't really matter how intermittent renewables are really. As long you can get 100% output from the grid at the other end, it makes no difference to you.
At any moment you don't know where the power you are using is actually being generated. It could be coming from anywhere.
Energy retailers around the world are now supplying power with 20-30-40-50% renewables these days. The customer doesn't know where it's coming from and they don't care. As long as it's there when they need it, that's all that matters.
