I know what you are saying, and it is sad, the poor workers are being put into dangerous situations with little experience at the moment. I also feel for the families, as I have worked in mines for 10 years previously, and have known many people badly injured -no one killed thankfully.

But to close all iron ore mines is pretty big deal. The shcedules and tonnages required everyday is hard to catch up to once lose roduction for any length of time.

I find it incredible that bhp can put up on thier website that they have closures, but not inform the market through the asx. that is real business manipulation. If they had any real consideration for the worker and his family, then they would be announcing, and blow the consequences.

I don't hold or trade bhp, I watch and follow due to my mining interest.
