    For @EddyG’s benefit this is called stop hunting [1]. This is where the traders see if they can trigger people’s automatic stop loss orders by dumping onto the market and pushing the price down below the stop loss price for a short time. While I think having a stop loss is a good idea, for small stocks it is a bad idea to have stop loss orders on market as they are are just too susceptible to being exploited by the traders. Much better to just have a price that you will sell at and execute it manually.
