Taurisk, put me on the list with GZ for a meeting over Sacher torte und shlag (sp). My dad was Austrian and my mum was Polish. Both came to Australia around 1938 as refugees from the Hitler regime in Austria. I lost relatives in the gas chambers....
That said, my views are quite akin to those of GZ on the matter of Israeli right wing zionism. You need to be a bit careful though when you ascribe it solely to religious groups though, as some very orthodox Jewish groups even repudiate the Jewish state.... Antony Lowenstein is pretty good on all this stuff...Have you read him?
GZ, sorry to hear your beef with bones. He can be very aggro at times. On the other hand, I think he's not really a bad bloke and often makes worthwhile contributions.
