I stole those photos from the internet as I was going down memory lane. I have since thrown out those recipes. I can recall making baclava in a roasting dish, but, once again, memory lane. A woman who come to exercise class has a Greek heritage and she makes the most amazing cakes but the time it takes her, is many many hours. She even makes the pastry and filo included. These days, I have the occasional cake from a well known Greek cake shop in Melbourne, close to where I live. One can buy quality Greek cake today and to make them is far too difficult. On our break-up party we always get spanikofita. Hers spoils me for even those one can buy commercially.
