Couldn't agree more with regards to LEDs and insulation. Issue i have is we are a small family and with LEDs and good insulation we still spend 1100 per quarter on electricity. I have priced up a solar and its a no-brainer. With regards to batteries though i would prefer a V battery for the life expectancy of the electrolyte and the minimal damage from running it from 100% to 0% and back up but there are almost no options as yet for residential. Another 5 years and residential energy storage should come into its own.
