The awesome thing about HC is that one can punch in SIR, and then look back, blow by blow at the evolution of the prospect known as The Eye, which then yielded Nova
Please DYOR but there is no doubt that what has been uncovered here ie laterite (low grade) zone with massive sulphide (high grade) zone over 70m at relatively shallow depth is uncannily similar to an intersection at the Eye of around 50m which had a far lower Cu grade and lower Ni grade in the massive sulphide zone which ended up being only 500m away from the top of conductor 1..
Or how about the 16m of laterite (.58% Ni with 4m @.86%) which as it turns out vertically would be almost directly above the main Nova ore body within a 100-200m or so.. so it goes to show that they see the footprint and the footprint at Mawson is bigger and higher grade in terms of laterite ..
Don't forget the big intersections at Nova didn't come until 300m as they traversed and stepped out down the conductor .. there was plenty of 2 - 13 m intersections of MS which in fact heralded the discovery but the real game changer was much deeper so I see LEG as being in the box seat at these depths and with this elevated anomoly under their belt already
We all knew this assay result was going to be low grade, we all knew it is disseminated but that's not the point the point is what it indicates could be nearby and that is why it is so valuable
Admittedly, if Nova never existed, LEG would be in a different position but for now there's no hiding the facts
