I agree with you. It should have been handled better, and they should have communicated to shareholders that the Diamonds will not generate revenue for reasons XYZ.
However, Sensei made a claim that they lied, because the announcement mentioned that they had "generated first revenues" (past tense).
This means that at least 1 dollar was raised, and Sensei checked and confirmed that they did in fact raise revenue.
Since I called him out on this allegation, he is now changing his tune by saying it is hardly material (which I agree).
But, he cannot prove that this announcement was a deliberate lie, and some revenue generated (as little as it may be) indicates that revenues were generated.
No Lie.
