Anyone who believes 'official' inflation (and unemployment) rates accurately reflect either of those areas is either living under a rock or, is at best, extremely naive !
Suggest you have a close look at how they're calculated, what's not included, the dynamic nature of inflation calculation as well as considering underlying and motivating factors influencing the calculation methodology-including the beneficiaries of keeping the numbers low.
