Forgive any ignorance on my part, however [according to figures given by our mainstream media]the supposed figure of outstanding debt is 12 trillion.Before this it was touted that the US national debt had already sent them to the brink of bankruptcy. Adding a lazy 12 trill can't help can it? What is the interest payable per annum?, and how does this affect fiscal behaviour?
