I've had to deal with dingbats like this at junior footy.

They all foolishly assume that because they once got a knock on the head and felt giddy or on edge for 20 minutes that all concussions are the same and they are not.

This subject should have nothing to do with politics or political perspective.

For the information of Trumpists a concussion can lead to anything from a mild 20 minute headache to death or permanent disability. On occasions it can take time for the extent of injury to become apparent. Even moderate concussions can lead to lifetime epilepsy.

I know a bit about football injuries. I only know one guy who is suffering from degenerative brain condition caused by an IED explosion in Iraq. A few years ago he was walking and talking and driving his kids to school. At that point he knew his time was limited due to the nature of the injury. Then he became myopic in his thinking. Then he became wheelchair bound.

To be truthful I don't know much about the kind of concussions (Traumatic Brain Injuries) that follow the shock waves of very large explosions.

Army doctors do have an idea. They would have been onto this risk as soon as the dust cleared.

Justifiable ignorance aside, I have heard no clarifying statement from Trump and so his cultists continue to spew Trump's initial line that damage was minimal (it wasn't) and that any injuries were extremely minor (we don't know if that is the case) because Trump says there were no casualties.

Again, this subject should not be about politics.
