Well, you’ve readily admitted, you never really stuck with any career, so, without knowing you personally, I read your views and take them on board, but you are just another voice to be considered. As you know, there are differing views within the fire fighting community...some say our bad summer is a result of climate change, other don’t. Why should your view necessarily be the ‘right’ one?

In any case, it’s far more than climate science, or bushfire science; or even how much of global warming is man made and how much is not.

The most important bit is how we respond to the claim of man made climate change. A few of the issues are:

Is there, or isn’t there a climate emergency, and why is this the case?
Do we in Australia need to take drastic carbon reduction measures?
What are the economic impacts of drastic climate action?
Who is expected to pay for it?
Are China and India doing enough?
Do we keep funding climate science, or do we move funding to developing better renewable solutions?

And this is where I enjoy the perspectives of Credlin and her guests, because they discuss the broader issues.
