John’s Gospel begins by using the Greek idea of a “divine reason” or“the mind of God” as a way to connect with the readers of his day, who mostly spoke Greek, = FULL STOP and of story!
Case closed, wotsup's claim your logos means as much as divine reason, the mind of God as it does His word as in divine reason, the mind of God Expressed into word.

Hence -> In beginning was the word-> “divine reason” or“the mind of God” and the word -> “divine reason” or“the mind of God” was with the God and God was the word -> “divine reason” or“the mind of God”.
The same, this, it -> “divine reason” or“the mind of God”was in the beginning the God.

Jesus became the carrier of these words of eternal life, and these words included much about Jesus was well.And these words are Spirit which the God and Father is, The Holy Spirit, John 6:63, 4:24 and words of eternal life John 6:68 as God has life in himself John 1:4 to which he gave to Jesus when he gave him His word = The Word = the word of God John 5:26.
And this was only after many years of being raised, taught up to his Baptism where he then had Spirit/Word in him without measure so he could THEN be SENT INTO the world, to Bring, give the Word of Life.

1 John 1 - That -> (Not Jesus) which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;

. Greek philosophy may have used the word in reference to divine reason,but John used it the EXACT SAME way, Hebrew ROOTS and all.....to note many of the attributes of Jesus. In John’s use of the Logos concept, we find that
Jesus is was NOT eternal (“In the beginning was the Word”“divine reason” or“the mind of God”
He now only has immortality as he is dwelling in the Almighty God and Fathers light, that He is 1 John 1:5, Father of it James 1:7 -> 1 Tim 6:16 - Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.
This light is God's word -> dwelling in the light is aligned to, Jesus dwelling in the Bosom of the God and Father John 1:18.

-Jesus was with God prior to coming to earth (“the Word was with God”“divine reason” or“the mind of God”

He didn't "become" human, He was born, began as human and is still human, God raised him and fed him the Word = the word of God.
The “divine reason” or“the mind of God”, the plan become flesh and also this came into the flesh “divine reason” or“the mind of God”, the plan and of which Jesus took into the world.
The hidden mystery, logos, glory IN God was manifested, made clear and obvious, to some.
