It's almost cheaper to fill up with electricity than fuel in Germany/Norway already.
It's actually cheaper to go to petrol station then to fast charging.
And that's without even governments starting to think about replacing the billions of dollars in revenues.
Renewables electricity isn't as cheap to produce as fuel.
Fuel costs won't be driving EV revolution but government legislation.

If anything by the time the EV revolution is underway the cost of owning vehicles will be prohibitive to low socioeconomic groups. With probable taxation on old vehicles and fuel (like cigarettes).
And second hand EVs not being easily and cheaply maintained with cost of replacement batteries, etc.
Whole host of people that drive $10k and under cars will have difficult time. And mechanics also I guess
