I haven't checked recently, but I think you will find that some if not all of the unions are very much opposed to the climate madness. They can see that cutting out fossil fuel will cost vast numbers of their members' jobs. Certainly some unions were appalled at Labor's stance on Adani at the last election, and helped Scott Morrison to get elected. What happened in the UK in this year's election was that the country's workers woke up to the fact that the Tories were representing their interests better than the Labour party. The same awakening here, on the same scale, would be interesting. IMHO, all Scott Morrison has to do to get the labour force supporting him is to say that the government won't try to cut emissions any more but will give top priority to cheap plentiful reliable energy and the jobs that will follow. But if Anthony Albanese says it first, he is the next prime minister.
