The "once in a century" is fast becoming a trope that the media cling to so they can push their agenda. The Greens got up in parliament after the cyclone in north Queensland and blamed it on climate change and everyone nodded their heads to the climate gods just like the Greeks blamed everything on the Gods. Never mind the small print that Australia has had less cyclones over the past few decades. That's just an "inconvenient truth". Last week it was a "one in 100 year flash flood" on the gold coast. PLEASE!!! Anyone who has lived in Brisbane or Ipswich knows what flash floods are and that HUGE storms are part and parcel of living in SE Qld in during summer. It may have been a record on the gold coast but Brisbane and Ipswich have witness these "flash floods" countless times.

Deaths due to weather events has dropped 95% over the past 100 years. Considering the population growth and our expansion into all parts of the world, this is an inconvenient truth. Us humans are very adaptable!

Anyone who went to school knows that the climate has changed and will continue to change. But, you are correct in that we need to cover all basis. It's not going to hurt playing our part, which we do. It's the hysteria and the total lack of common sense on display which irks so many and the constant fear mongering and constant failed predictions that give people scepticism. The vast majority of people will cop a common sense approach to adapting for the future. What they won't cop is the BS perpetuated by these people protesting Scott Morrison for not doing enough while turning a blind eye to China and India at the same time.

To cover all basis, we need a common sense approach, which apart from poor fire management, our current government has a common sense approach to climate change. Morrison is 100% correct in that if we made all these knee jerk reactions, China would pick up the slack within a few days. Taxing our way to climate change looks suspiciously like the power grab or wealth redistribution which some within the UN or IPCC have broken rank and admitted.

The Climate Change hysteria has become a virtue signallers dream. No more do you need to attend "clean up days" or "plant a tree day" events. It's much easier to elevate yourself with virtue points by posting something on twitter or by protesting. It's horribly ironic that the most "progressive" state in the US has the filthiest cities when crap all over their streets and rubbish piling up everywhere. Why would Greta be happy with the "planting a trillioin trees" movement. She has taken a leaf out of the race hustlers like Al Sharpton where notoriety, fame and money can be made by turning a blind eye and your own hypocrisy. It's best to ban straws and promote yourself as a progressive icon than clean up the rubbish that is piling up in your streets causing one of your prominent attorneys to get typhus.
